Beautiful Creations Limited has donated essential medical supplies to the Lordina Foundation at its office in Accra. Chief Executive Officer Samuel Dankyi Ansong, together with the Chief Financial Officer of Beautiful Creations Limited, Dr. Mrs. Georgina Ansong, presented the items to H.E. Lordina Dramani Mahama, Founder and President of the Lordina Foundation.
Mr. Ansong praised Mrs. Mahama for her long-standing commitment to improving Ghana’s health sector, particularly her continued support for maternal and child healthcare through the construction, renovation and equipping of maternity wards, children’s wards, health centres and other critical medical facilities across the country.
Mrs. Mahama expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Ansong, Dr. Mrs. Georgina Ansong and the Beautiful Creations Limited team, assuring them that the medical supplies would be efficiently utilised in the areas where they are most needed.
The Lordina Foundation, founded and led by H.E. Lordina Dramani Mahama, is a Ghanaian non-governmental organisation dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities, with particular focus on women, orphans and vulnerable children. The Foundation, previously known as the Alternative Source of Income Program, has over the years implemented programmes in poverty alleviation, women and youth empowerment, quality healthcare promotion and educational support.
Through its healthcare interventions, the Foundation has supported poorly resourced health facilities with medical equipment and supplies, organised free integrated health screening services, and contributed to strengthening healthcare access in rural and underserved communities. Its work reflects a practical commitment to reducing gaps in healthcare delivery, especially in areas where mothers, children and vulnerable families face limited access to essential services.
The Foundation has also made significant investments in maternal and child health infrastructure. Its projects include the construction of maternity and children’s wards at facilities such as Bole District Hospital, Nkoranza and Bodom, as well as the inauguration of a maternity and children’s health facility at Asukawkaw in the Oti Region. These initiatives form part of the Foundation’s broader objective of helping to reduce maternal, infant and child mortality in Ghana.
Beyond infrastructure, the Lordina Foundation has supported health facilities with essential clinical resources, including furnished theatres, delivery rooms, neonatal intensive care support and other equipment needed to improve clinical capacity. The Foundation has also renovated health centres and continued to donate medical equipment to communities across the country, reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in community healthcare development.
The Foundation’s impact further extends into education, medical training and empowerment. Through partnerships including its long-standing collaboration with the Merck Foundation, Mrs. Mahama has supported medical training scholarships for Ghanaian doctors, helped promote girls’ education, and advanced initiatives aimed at women’s empowerment and reducing social barriers affecting families and communities.
Beautiful Creations Limited’s donation therefore aligns strongly with the Lordina Foundation’s mission of improving access to quality healthcare and supporting vulnerable groups. The donated items included phototherapy units, children’s beds, delivery beds, oxygen cylinders, fetal dopplers, baby scales, wheelchairs, bathroom scales, overbed tables, stethoscopes, baby cots and other essential medical equipment.
